It is a joy to reflect back on this hot summer day in Cobble Hill. Our day was long but our hearts were full. We were especially struck by the privilege that it is to be wedding photographers. We were reminded of the unusual access to incredibly intimate moments that we have in this role. It is an honour every time we are welcomed into people's homes and hearts to capture moments and to tell stories. Â
We spent the day with J & G touring Cobble Hill and Shawnigan Lake for couples and wedding party photos, followed by a beautiful ceremony on their family farm. Our first stop was Butter Church, a well guarded secret on Indigenous land, which requires a permit to access - but it is worth the trouble. What a magical mixture of old stone and natural beauty! We also had great fun on an old train track, a river bed, and a golden field.Â
